LOVINGLY CARE FOR OTHERS
July 27, 2025
Bob had been addicted to drugs from the age of 12. He found freedom when a Virginia court placed him under a mandatory recovery program. As an adult he became clean and sober for two years before he died of a heart attack. His sister, Joyce, and her daughter, Hannah discovered that Bob’s passion was to be part or a recovery house for addicts, so they founded Grace House to help people overcome their addictions and find hope and purpose.
The Sacramento branch of Grace House is used by God to work wonders in people’s lives. Grace House also helps our church with some of our Wednesday night meals and Men’s Breakfasts and devotions. Also, members of Grace House help us with our worship music. The whole idea of Grace House is lovingly caring for others.
Sunday I’m preaching on “Lovingly Care for Others” from Matthew 5:38-48. We’ll look at “Care for Others,” verses 38-42; and “Show Love,” verses 43-48. This is from the Sermon on the Mount. Please show some love and attend Sunday School and worship. There’s also a Business Meeting at 1:30 on Sunday. Come with a heart full of love.
Vacation Bible School was awesome. I believe that each night we had an average of about 130 kids, youth and adults on campus learning, sharing and serving. Thanks to all who helped. Pray as we follow up on the ten kids who gave their lives to Christ, and the two who made rededications.
Love,
Jim Meek

FALL/WINTER WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER SIGN-UPS
We need help with our Wednesday Night Dinner for the fall/winter. By volunteering for at least one Wednesday night, we can ensure no one is doing all the work. You would be putting together and leading a team for one or more times this fall/winter.
This entails shopping (the church will pay the bill see Betty Allen for the budget), preparing a meal for about 60-70 children and adults, and clean up. Betty Allen will meet with you to help you understand the commitment.
If you can help, please click here or use the QR code below.
If you have questions contact Betty Allen or call the church at 916-488-1522 or email us at office@elcaminobaptist.org.
Let’s all share in this valuable and encouraging ministry and fellowship.
If you have any questions, you may contact Betty Allen, or call/email the church office, (916) 488-1522, office@elcaminobaptist.org
