SHARE JESUS

In the 1980s the big pandemic was HIV/AIDS. At first no one knew how it was transmitted. People were afraid to be in close proximity to those who had the disease. A man named Roy Fitzgerald got the disease. His friends and family were afraid to minister to him. However, some Christians did, including Pat and Shirley. They cared for him and shared Jesus with him. He finally received Christ, then died a day later. His stage name was Rock Hudson. He was one of the most famous actors of all time. The people who shared Christ with him were the famous singer and actor, Pat Boone, and his wife, Shirley. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing Rock Hudson in heaven, simply because some Christians were willing to share Christ with him.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday! I’ll be preaching about “Share Jesus” from John 12:1-17. We’ll talk about “Share with Jesus,” verses 1-11; and “Share Jesus with Others,” verses 12-17. Please come and celebrate with us.
Don’t forget our Good Friday service at 5:00 in which we’ll have the Lord’s Supper and I’ll portray Peter in a dramatic monologue, “Find Forgiveness.” Please invite friends and family. We all need forgiveness. There will be special activities for children 4 years old and over in the Kids Center.
Then, on Easter we’ll have Sunday School at 9:00 and worship at 10:30. We’ll have special snacks between those events and a photo booth after the service.
